Eurobodalla Agricultural Show
The Eurobodalla Agricultural Show is an annual community-orientated event celebrating various agricultural traditions. It evolves with modern society each year yet maintains its heartfelt country feel. It is the only event of its kind within the Eurobodalla Shire.
Eurobodalla District Show Society
The Show Society works year-round to produce entertaining shows. All are welcome to attend, near and far!
The Society was established in 1872 as the “Moruya Agricultural & Pastoral Society.” The first show was held in 1874. It has been held most years except for 1908 (too dry), 1917 (WW1), 1943 (WW2), 1944 (WW2), 1999 (too wet), 2020 (bushfires), and 2021 (a limited show because of COVID-19).
In 1981, the name of the Society was changed to the “Eurobodalla District Show Society.” In 2017, the Show Society decided to revise the name of the Show to the “Eurobodalla Agricultural Show,” to reflect the Show’s traditional roots. During all this time, the local community, organizations, businesses, and companies have helped to host the Show through donations and sponsorship.
The Eurobodalla District Show Society runs the Eurobodalla Agricultural Show (Eurobodalla Ag Show); Spring Horse Show; Spring Dog and Poultry Show; and helps with other community events.
